The Lady Bug and the Betta

I've always heard that lady bugs are good luck, especially if one lands on you. Well, Zen's got some good luck coming then.

I have a lil round, plastic leaf in Zen's 2 gallon that floats on the surface. He builds his bubble nests under it (yeah, he's been blowing bubbles again for awhile now which I love).

Covering Zen's container is a paper plate with slits in it, no one slit being bigger than 1/2"

Well, lo and behold guess what I find on the plastic leaf this morning just sitting around (probably trying to avoid being eaten, heh). Yep. A lady bug.

Somehow it got in through one of the lil slits.

Cool huh.

It is now living its life outdoors

Sounds like that ladybug made a good decision after it got through the slit.  Not only did it not get eaten, it got rescued and put back outside.  I'm sure it was grateful.  Zen probably thought he missed a good meal, but he definitely deserves some good luck.

Well I would have shared a pic but the dig cam I have is so small and the viewfinder is about the size of my thumbnail. I'll share what pics I've taken with it and you can see why I haven't shared (I think Ed has a couple of Zen on his pc, if so I'll share them when I get them on my pc)

2 pics of Zen's 10 gal. before it got sick and a pic of my cat Tess (which turned out fairly well but the pics of Zen didn't...shooting through his 2 gal. didn't work well...u'll see when I share the ones of Zen.
