Absolutely agree, in the wild fish will eat a variety of different things from plant matter to smaller fish to inverts, it's important for the welfare of our fish that we replicate this as much as possible in our tanks. I feed mine a mix of good quality flake, crisps, algae wafers, blanched greens & cucumber, micro-pellets, frozen bloodworm, daphina, cyclpos, brineshrimp etc. which I fortify with vitamins & garlic juice & when I can get them live foods as well, I also leave one pane of my tanks glass covered with natural algae for my gobies to graze on. My wife says my fish eat better than we do .
