    Just a pond update!

The worst of our weather has gone now, woooo :D

Friday, no sign of frogs and the fish were still looking a bit sleepy from the winter, but I gave them a little food :)

I came home from visting my dad today :), I've seen atleast 6 pairs of frogs and I've collected one batch of frogspawn to keep in a separate container away from my hungry koi!
And with a warm weekend the fish are back in summer mode (Woo!) I came home to find them swimming around in a massive shoal :) So I caught the 3 biggest ghost koi out of my indoor winter tank and let them out in the pond :D

My pond is 1800G and the stock is (roughly):

8 koi (a bunch of "rejects" from a breeder, they vary from 8"-11", they were kept in a 300G pond so I had to save them!)
    3 Ghost koi
    3 Green tench
    15 goldfish and comets (roughly)
    1 mirror carp
    5 shubunkins (roughly)
    1 weather loach

I will take pictures of 'my shoal' tomorrow :D

I have some from last summer :p

The big mama in the first pic (with orange patch, to the left of the comet) is one of the biggest of the rejects, apparently she wasn't pretty enough :( I love her :D

And one pic from the heavy winter, all the fish survived that snow! :D

    Thanks you 2 :)
BTW, the pics tomorrow won't have the nice lilly sadly, the plants are only now starting to grow again so it will be a few weeks before the lilly comes up.

Oh well heck, I don't want to see your lily-less pics. :anim_35:
Post away! It'll be interesting to see the progression. :)
