People who sneeze/cough right into the open air instead of into their elbow or arm or whatever. It only bothers me when I'm caught right in the blast, but still.

I'm bad about typing too fast and accidentally pushing the l before the e. Usually I at least catch it though lol

Haha. Typos happen. The things is that I have seen it so often and repeatedly through threads, that makes me wonder if it's really a typo or not. Lol.

True that. I just imagine like an actual triangle with the angle mark in the 90 degree angle.

I do not like people whistling, especially when I'm playing the piano.

I don't like loud, screaming children (moment of silence for all parents in the world)

People looking over my shoulder at what I'm doing (unless it's something I want them to look at)

Maybe not a pet peeves, but it makes me sad when I see a dirty sports car

People talking in front of doors

I don't like getting water on my glasses

When I'm doing a water change on my aio saltwater tank, and I reach in and an amphipod crawls on my hand (I have Entomophobia)

Adding on that, I hate when my clownfish bites me when I'm trying to clean her tank

Wow, the list could go on all day...

When catching public transport, and some random individual just has to sit right next to me... on an empty bus.

Like no, please go to the 40 empty seats!

(I also understand what you mean about children in stores, I accidentally hit a 8 yr old a couple of days back with my trolley (full of heavy produce, so it takes a while to stop it). I was just lucky the parents understood the situation (silly thing was running around corners, dancing and just being a PITA) and told them off, instead of me - which is nice.

Ohhh another pet peeve, parents that say 'they don't tell their children no'... so you can't say no (or tell them off)... Like sorry, what? In the real world, they going to be told no all the time!?

My mom kind of has the ‘don’t tell them no attitude’ BUT her view is instead of saying “no don’t pull on your sisters hair” she would say “pulling on your sisters hair is very painful. We need to be gentle and kind to one another”
She calls it positive reinforcement, and if you think about it, it can help them understand as to why they shouldn’t be doing what they’re doing.

ValerieAdams :
My mom didn't use that positive reinforcement approach. As a matter of fact,
she didn't utter a word.
She simply gave "the look" and trust me, I instinctively understood exactly why I shouldn’t be doing what I was doing

I hate when people are unhygenic in any way. Wash your hands people! And don't touch me!

I get annoyed when people tag me in topics I know literally nothing about. Sorry mate I can't help with your oscar breeding project, or aquascaping a tank or caring for crabs. I mean I'm flattered that people want my advice or whatever but it's just awkward when people tag me in stuff without offering any advice themself then I'm left to explain to the original poster that actually I don't have a clue about feeding gobies. Feel free to tag me in a stocking question or a question about goldfish but I can't help with how to set up a canister filter.

Also when people buy or breed animals when they live right near a rescue centre.

My mom went to school for early childhood education, so I believe that’s where she got it. My dad however most definitely had “the look” for us kids, but really we didn’t give them much troubles lol

Yeah I get that and like I say I'm flattered that someone has looked at a question amd thought I might be able to help but this morning I woke up with 77 alerts and at least 7 of those were people tagging me in stuff I couldn't help with.

Haha no don't do that! I love reading the stocking threads! I shouldn't have written what I said to start with I don't think. It just annoys me when certain people (definitely not you) tag me in stuff about sick crabs or heaters or something.

My biggest annoyance on here is the stocking threads that people recommend a mix of sub tropical fish and tropical fish. No neon tetras and bettas are not a good mix. I don't care if you have had them together for 2 months its still not a good combination.

Big mood.

Or when people ask for your advice then argue with you about it. Like, you asked, you wanted to know what I had to think about [problem], and I told you *my* opinion.

petpeeves_smallbanner.jpg

I'll start it off by saying my biggest pet peeve is when someone blows their nose at the table during or after a meal. I see it almost every time I go out to eat and I think it's rude and disgusting.

What's your biggest pet peeve?
Lol a little while after I read this I went to a restaurant with my family... And my dad did just that

My pet peeve is when I ask my wife, "Where do you want to go out for dinner tonight."
Her Answer, "Anywhere, I don't care."
Then I will say "ok then let's eat Asian food."
She says, "I don't feel like Asian Food."
Then I say, "ok then let's eat seafood."
She says, "I don't feel like seafood."
Then I say, 'ok then what do you feel like eating tonight."
She says, "I dunno."

Indecisive. Tsk tsk.

Toll booths. No, I don't want to pay $5 to go under the city. But I want to get there on time. Grrrr.

If I’m standing in line and I can feel someone’s nose breath tickling my neck or arms, it means they’re too close. Back off!

And people who cut in line. I will usually call them out, and it’s usually the same old excuse: “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know,” or “I didn’t know you were waiting.”

The gap between finishing the food and paying the bill at restaurants.

People who self-diagnose mental illnesses or try to relate themselves to tragedies i.e "I could've been in that plane crash!"

People who taunt animals
* If the Bison had gored that idiot, the bison would likely have been put down.

Oh my gosh, thank you! My blood was boiling when I saw this video ! Wanted to punch that guy in the head unch:! He's lucky enough to witness such an awesome animal and he disrespects it and everyone around by doing something so stupid and idiotic. And the worst part is he thinks he's a tough guy now. What a meathead! Please someone tell me they caught him and he got in trouble. How about a lifetime ban on all national and state parks? Would never happen but it should...

When you are selling something.. in this case I am adopting puppies out.. and people call and say oh they want to come meet the puppies they will be there around 6 or so.. and then they never show up!!!!!!! And in the meantime I am waiting around, doing nothing!! Is it really so hard to pick up the phone and shoot me a text.. I can't make it after all!!! Some people just have absolutely no consideration for others!! ... Or... I have a super low adoption fee on these little guys.. like less than a humane society.. and people call and say.. will you take less?? I can only afford to pay so much ect... I am sorry but if you can't afford to pay this small amount for the puppy how are you going to swing all it's vet bills???!!! Any way.. rant over..lol
