Hello! I would like to determine which out of these fish are the most popular in the hobby. What I have decided to do is make a poll for it however there are multiple different fish competing so please see below the list of fish to see the rules. Here are the matchups:

Neon Tetra V.S Cardinal tetra
Ottocinclus V.S Siamese algae eater
KuhlI loach V.S spiny eels (all varieties)
Yoyo loach V.S clown loach
Blood parrot V.S Flowerhorn
Oscar B.S Jack Dempsey
Angle fish V.S Discus
Rams V.S Kribs
Pea puffer V.S Green Spotted Puffer
Axolotl V.S Turtle
Crabs V.S crayfish
Catfish V.S loaches
SA cichlids V.S African cichlids
Goldfish V.S Betta Fish
Bichirs V.S Wolf fish
Arrowana V.S Gar
Black skirt tetra V.S white skirt tetras

In the poll above the fish that are competing will be right side by side. The poll will look like this:
Neon tetra
Cardinal tetra
Arrowana
Gar

please realize that ever two fish down is a pair. So like neon tera and cardinal tetra is a pair, Arrowana and gar is a pair.
RULES:
- only vote for 1 fish in each pair
- feel free to discuss why you choose the fish you choose in each pair but please understand that is your opinion and others may disagree
- have fun with it

After a week of voting I will take the winner and pair them up against each other in a new thread!

EDIT: I am realizing now I can only put in 10 competitors at a time so below I will post links to four other threads for voting. Please only discuss you choices on this thread. Other voting threads are below!

Had to vote for Flowerhorn. Once mature with that large hump. So ugly and beautiful at the same time

giving this a bump so more people can see it and vote, remember to vote on the other threads to! Also I need opinions, say the catfish wins over the loaches should I let it continue to compete as catfish or should I break it into three more specific catfish like Cory cats, feather fins, plecos, ect.

I vote for a breakdown.
It doesn't seem entirely fair to let a single species compete with a complete order of families, that cover so many varied fish.

Ok, below is a list of species I will be breaking down into individuals if they win. For each of them could you please list the top three fish you would want to represent that group? Thanks!
Spiney eels
Catfish
Loaches (won’t break down depending on if other specific loaches win)
Turtle
Crabs
Crayfish
SA cichlids
African cichlids

Thank you!

EDIT: Of course with some of them there are all ready broken down fish from that species (like clown loaches for loaches) so please do not include any species that is already up on the voting board.

Spiny eels -> Fire Eel, Tire Track Eel, Peacock Eel. I think those are the most well known and by far the most commonly kept ones.

Catfish -> since there are so many of these you should probably break them down in groups and if they win, break those down again. You can pick, this is what I could think of what is really popular.
- Plecos
- Cories
- Pictus Catfish
- Glass Catfish
- Raphael Catfish

Loaches -> Also way too many popular ones...
- Dojo
- Kuhli
- Clown
- Zebra
- Yoyo

Turtle -> sorry, don't know anything about turtles
Crabs -> see above
Crayfish -> see above

SA cichlids -> again probably need to break them down into groups and then again later. From this category Rams, Discus, Oscar and Angelfish already featured.
Groups: Apistogramma; and then the popular singular species, Blue Acara, Convict & Keyhole, Jack Dempsey (you didn't include that yet right?), Green Terror, Golden Severum. Those are probably the most popular ones right?

African cichlids -> Lake Victoria; Lake Tanganyika; Lake Malawi.

Where are all the Gourami though? And rainbowfish?

I did do jack dempsey, however I do like this list and thank you for responding. I just didn't feel I could get every species however I shouldn't have looked over gouramis and rainbow fish, as they both are very popular. Maybe I could add them in the second round

I think shrimp should be a different competition. I also think we should do something similar to this with tank equipment, substrates, plants, ect. A lot of different options to make more competitions, just make sure if you make one similar to this to tag me
