15 Gallon Tank The clearest this tank has ever been

I don’t know what the deal is. We just moved so I expected some hiccups and bacteria blooms and new tank syndrome issues.
Instead both tanks are the clearest they have ever been. Maybe tearing them down completely and cleaning is what i needed to do to finally get the hair algae under control.

Tank looks nice!
Not that I recommend that solution since it’s a ton of work, but totally breaking down my one tank to replace the substrate also got rid of the hair algae.

If it will get rid of the hair algae then it was so worth tearing the tank apart and moving to a different state!
I battled that stuff for over a year. Nightmare and a half!

I totally agree! I even tried Excell but my chain loaches started acting more stressed than they already were. :eek:
Still not 100% sure what contaminated that tank but glad it’s gone.

Filled in the right side of Walter’s tank with a bushy plant. It’s artificial but now it doesn’t look so lopsided and Walter loves it. He was swimming in and out of it while I was trying to place it and fluff it out.

I KNOW! Ugh! I don’t know why it keeps turning them sideways. LOL!
