Tetra Whisper 2-10i Filter.

Hey everybody! I'm new to this forum. I joined because I'm not liking my filter and interested in purchasing a new one. It's a whisper 2-10I and it tends to overflow. The issue is it flows out of the back, onto the floor and everything else causing a lot of water loss. It has a clean biobag in it now and it runs very close to the top. Once it gets the slightest clog/buildup it flows over the top and down the back making a mess.

I'm still relatively new with this hobby and really loving it. I don't know what brands are great and need help.
The tank is a 10 gallon and I have tropical fish.
I would like an external one to take up less tank space since I have a smaller tank.
Thank you!!

Thanks for the response, though what I really am looking for is a filter that sits on the back of the tank rather than inside of the tank. I suppose I should've worded what I was looking for differently. I would love to have canister filter though!

May be a tad too big with a flow of 106g/h... but better bigger then smaller
