Tetra Swim On A Lean?

I have 6 beautiful pristella / xray tetra sharing a tank with platies and a pleco. They seem very happy and my tank is harmonious. I do notice that once I turn the light out that they seem to tilt / swim on an angle?? Is this OK? It's about a 30 degree lean. They seem fine but it looks very strange. Thoughts?

About how long do they stay at the lean for? And do they only do it when you turn on the lights? Are they acting normal otherwise?

I can't be sure how long for as I go to bed, but it's seems to be only with the light is off? They seem very normal otherwise

I’m not really sure but they should be fine if the act normal but tonight when you turn out the light pay attention to how long they are tilting themselves

 

Their internal balance system is oriented by balance and light. I would suspect that there is some external light shining through the glass after you turn off their overhead source. Their instinct is to orient the top of the head to the light, but their internal balance system says, "You can't go all the way over like that!", so they just sort of tilt toward the light source.

Oh my gosh this is probably it! There is a fluro on after I turn the light off and I watch them tilt - probably towards it! Ha! Thank you
