Tetra, injured or ill?

We lost one of our tetras a few days ago and after moving some ornaments to search for him he appeared with his buddies, problem is he looks like a zombie, we have no idea where he's been, he seems very bad and so we are going to euthanize him unless he has a chance, just want to know if its an injury or an illness so I can treat the tank if necessary, thank you.

Temp: 26°C
pH: 7.8
NH3/NH4: 0
Nitrates/Nitrites: No kit to test with
Other fish: 2 more tetras like him, 10 neons, 13 guppies, 4guppy fry
Tank is 45L

Looks like a fungal infection. I'd say it's fin and tail rot, but I'd wait for more answers. I wouldn't euthanise him as you'll have to treat the whole tank if this fungal. What did the one that previously passed look like? Also how is he acting? Hope someone else can help some more and that everybody gets feeling better.

Ah no I didnt mean lost as in dead, basically this one went missing, we think he got stuck somewhere as he has been missing fot about 3 days and we couldnt see him anywhere, so we moved the ornaments and rocks around then a few minutes later he just appeared with his brothers, the others aren't showing any signs and I'm not too sure about medication as there are some fry in the tank, he seems to just be swimming in circles, he is struggling to swim and keep falling

Ok that makes more sense. I can't tell if it's just the photo or if there's something on him, does he have white stuff on his head?

Yeah, it's a greyish white and fluffy looking, its around all the wounds, like peeling off of the squares in his sides

Regardless what he's suffering from, I would remove him to a small quarantine tank where you can keep an eye on him. This lessens the chance of his other tank mates coming down with the same thing. Petco has a great deal on 5 gallon tanks, usually on sale for $1 per gallon. And an inexpensive bubble filter and $7 air pump work great for running a quarantine tank. Of course, you have to cycle it before putting any fish in it.

Good luck.

I'm thinking its columnaris, maybe you can look it up and see if it's what your talking about. If it is culumnaris, I'd treat with Kanaplex.

Thank you both but he was dead this morning, I do have a small tank but its currently holding bigger fry (but they will be transfered to the main tank soon) it didn't look like columnarius as he didnt have anything wrapping around him, I will keep a close eye on my others but if they don't show any symptoms, I will put it down to injury

I'm sorry for your loss. S.I.P little guy. Just curious what do you mean by wrapping around him?

When I've research columnaris before (had a mystery illness a while ago which is now cured)it looks as if the scales have been wrapped in white, giving them that solid white bar

Personally I think it is Ichthyobodo necatrix (cause of the slime coming of).

Another fish this time, one of my female guppies appeared and this time with no tail, the other fish don't seem to be affected but she's really struggling to swim, I'm on the second day or treating for fin and tail rot with waterlife fin rot and ulcers, she isn't eating and is just laying on the bottom

Not my earlier suggestion. This doesn't look right at all.
Did this get this far overnight ?

Basically, two days ago I noticed she had no tail and the day before she had one, so I put her in the box and started the treatment, I think she's gonna pass soon, she doesn't eat and just lays on the floor
