terrestial plants in filter?? Question

    I have a 20 gallon long its empty right now i was thinking of filling one side up with sand super close to the top so i could plant the terrestrial plants that way the leaves stay above water or i could put them in the inside of the filter how would i go about doing it?any help will be appreciated

    I would be afraid of the roots growing Into the impeller housing.

    An HOB with an internal motor would be a good idea, like the whisper ex series

    i have a have lucky bamboo, pothos, arow head, spider plant and peace lilies in a h.o.b return from my sump i just stuck them in and they are growing well

    i dont get high nitrates or ammonia so id guess so :p
