Can someone tell me real quick what the real difference is ? Like if you got a terrarium tank and silicioned the sides, could it be an aquarium?

Terrarium glass is thinner and not able to hold as much weight.

No, you should never attempt to buy a terrarium kit tank, and use it as an aquarium.
The glass is definitely thinner, and it's not tempered like all other regular aquariums.

Terrarium kits could hold mostly plants with a water base, like depending on the tank height you could fill it about 1/4 full of water and the rest with large rocks and semi-aquatic plants. You could even create and island structure in the middle and a maze of thick roots in the water.

It's great for professional projects with large, jungly walstad aquarium/terrarium crosses, not great for your average hobbyist looking to keep some fish.
