This is insane to look back on. It’s been about a month and my aquarium has changed DRASTICALLY!! My parameters finally balanced out and I’m no longer getting any ammonia readings. I got more plants, and invested in some good fertilizer (nilocg thrive) and my plants have all grown a ton, especially my floating plants!!! I’ve started developing a very nice layer of catappa leaves at the bottom of my aquarium, and it’s given a nice stain to the water, as well as developed an ecosystem of copepods and detritus worms that feed in the biofilm and fungus growths. Gross to some people but very cool to me. I’ve had some algae growth, and I’m ordering three tiger nerite snails to add in! Basically, my aquarium is doing awesome and I hope you like it too!!
