Ten-gallon cleaning.

I'm thinking of setting up an old ten-gallon tank for a Betta that I used to use for my hamster. When I had the hamster I cleaned it (the tank) with soap when I changed the bedding, how can I make it's safe for the fish. (By the way, it hasn't been used in more than a year). Thanks!

Before anything, i would check the seals, cuz hamsters with their claws and teeth! Otherwise, i would wash it real good with hot water and a rag/towel, then rinse a few times looking fir any filmy soap residue.
