Temp Controller & Heater Type

I got inkbird temp controllers for my tanks (because heaters are scary). I read somewhere that you should not use a heater with an electronic thermostat on an external temperature controller. I can't find any more info on this, or why it would be so. Can anyone elaborate?

I have an Aqueon Pro, Eheim thermocontrol-e & Eheim Jager heaters. I haven't looked into what type of thermostat each has yet, but before I set them up I want to be certain I'm not screwing up.

Heaters with thermostats work fine with a temp controller.

Set your heater thermostat a couple degrees above your inkbird shut off temp so that the inkbird controls it and it will work fine.

I read in a couple of threads not to use the pro with a controller, yet with no explanation. It didn't make sense to me. I ordered an eheim to replace it anyway.
