Teflon tape

Hiya
I have a pvc that’s tight fit I don’t really want to glue it could I use part of a shopping bag because I don’t own any Teflon tape it’s just to stop a little drip from the pipe

Yea see where your coming from should I just buy some Teflon tape as it will stick better

I would absolutely use something designed for plumbing. The extra couple bucks is nothing compared to the potential water damage leaks can cause.

Yea it’s a tiny drip which is over the tank water so it’s not like leaking out the tank so yea it can wait until I go to the DIY shop next

If you don't want to glue it because you need to take it apart occasionally I'd recommend getting a union, and then go ahead and use PVC cement on all the joints.
