My daughter: "Mom, can I have $1 for ice cream at school?"

Me: "Look in my purse and see if I have any $1 bills".

My daughter: "I found two!"

Me: "You can have one".

My daughter: "But it will be lonely."

ROFL! Things are never boring around here. LOL!

I bet she'll buy two ice-creams, too, because only one would get lonely. I love teenage logic!

Uhhhh no. That's not how it works. you see, you buy yourself an ice cream and then auction off the other dollar to the person of your choice. Thus bringing you up the social ladder. OR you give it to the really hot guy you like.....that also works. Buying two ice creams for ones self would look selfish and bad. Where as manipulating a portion of the student body with said extra dollar is a perfectly acceptable form of behavior.

either way me and a friend snukc 100 homemade doughnuts into 1st period and handed them all out. Without the teacher noticing.

LOL. Earlier this year, a candy "blackmarket" somehow formed at our school. Constant secret "buys" being done in the middle of class without the teachers noticing. Then once we got caught, everyone's locker was searched for candy and those who had it were written up!

Funny how gluttony isn't acceptable, but bribery and manipulation are o.k. Gee, I wish some of my classmates would have snuck homemade doughnuts into school when I was a teenager. Oh, yes, now I remember, they were too busy sawing the legs off the teacher's chair.

It was like some weird rare candy. The school told u a couple times we weren't allowed to sell it at school, but who listens to them? Haha.

Apparently, you can get Betta's on sale at PetCo (in the US)

My daughter: "But it will be lonely."

Maybe she figured she could get the two bills to spawn and end up with enough money for ice cream for the entire month.

Please remember the Original topic - I have cleaned this thread to represent BB's original post, "the funny things kids say"

LOL!
