    Good morning
I currently have a empty 10G tank and we’re thinking about getting a tarantula!
Does anybody have one or know anybody with one!

I know it spends most of the day hiding.
    Mostly comes out at night
    Loves crickets
    Loves to makes webs
    Loves small enclosure

I love how the greenbottleblue tarantula looks.

If anyone has that one id love to hear about it!

    I’ll get half a log
    2 fake plants
    Water dish

    THANKS

Maybe apply your current fish experience and put a crayfish in the 10?

Ive had quite a few over the years but since my last one passed i stopped buying them. They make good pets and super funny to see people react, my fav was my pink toe, she had the best disposition and never showed signs of aggession. She would crawl and jump all over. The only thing i absoluetly hate when it comes to tarantulas, or most reptiles is what they eat. Those stupid stinky, noisy, escape artist houdini crickets! What type do you plan on buying ?

What size were your tank?(if you used one)
    What substrate did you use?
Did you buy them big or small?

@Zennon thanks but I don’t want another tank with water in my room. I have have a 75G right across from my bed

I had a few at one point, one was in a smaller plastic type tank maybe 2 gallons and the largest tank i used was a 10 gal for my goliath. I always used a dirt substrate and had logs or things they could hide in and wood built up along the side. My pink toe always made a nice web in there.

I always bought them older so i could sex them, females live longer.

I vote you take a day and go visit Insectropolis down in Toms River, you can learn more than you ever wanted or needed to know about tarantulas down there! Pretty cool museum (zoo?)

So I’ve put substrate in the enclosure. I also have a piece of log where she can make into her home if she likes
