Tank Set Up 36 Hrs - Cloudy Water

HI Everyone,

So I set up my new tank on Friday. And had it running for 36 +/- hours with very nice clear looking water. There were no fish in there.

This morning I checked the tank and it seems to be like cloudy. Looks like if the glass is fogged up. So it is not like gray white water per say but the water is for sure not as clear as it was the first day and a half.

I got my initial stock of 10 GloFish and 2 BN Pleco. I used TSS to kick start things.

Any idea why the water would have turned cloudyish?

Also I am running 1 Aqueon 55/75 filter. Should I include another one?

Thanks for your help.

I believe Tss can cloud the tank initially, it should settle down

Most likely TSS, or a bacterial blooming which could go away in a day or a couple weeks.

I don't think it will hurt the fish.

Good luck.

Thanks. Tank was cloudy prior to TSS.

Ok. will give it some time and see how it goes.

Don't keep the lights on too long. I had same problem with no fish in tank. 8 hours I think for daylight lights.

Out of curiosity, how big is the tank?
