Hi, I'm thinking about setting up a 55 gallon tank with a school of SA puffers, because I read that they do well in schools. Does anyone know what other types of fish to keep with these guys? I've never kept SA's before so I really have no idea, other than the fact that the tank mates can't have long fins. Thanks.

Here would be some helpful links to check out:

I've also read of SAPs being kept with peaceful SA dwarf cichlids.

I discussed this with a member called pinkfloydpuffer a while back. When talking to her we decided that the best tank mates are small plecos and thats about it. They really like to nip fins so that puts out any colorful fish or fish with long flowing fins. And fast fish would out compete them for food.
