Tank Is Getting Too Hot?

I honestly have a problem with this too sometimes, but it's because my room is like a sweat box in the summer months when the AC isn't on. Whenever my betta fish tanks creeps up to the 82/84 mark, I just float a bag of ice in the tank. You could also use a frozen water bottle. It drops the temperature down to where I need it to be in no time. This helps me a lot whenever I do a water change and the water I add in is too hot for the tank - which I do often because I'm a bone head

You could also take a couple plastic water bottles, fill them, add a little bit of conditioner and stick them in the freezer, wait until frozen and stick it in the tank. It'll lower the temperature slowly. And if the plastic say, cracks and the water inside leaks into the tank it'll be fine because you conditioned it.

You could also use a Fan. Simply have it blow across the top of the water with the lid (if any open) This works pretty well and is simple. I use clip on fans I got from the dollar store which plug into a wall outlet. And for 20 bucks worth of fans all my tanks can be cooled.
