I wanted to know what the best sealant is for aquariums. I am starting a planted tank and I have some Leicester I need to seal to make sure they are safe for the tank. What us the best sealant?

Also I need a clear top for my 5 gallon tank. Any suggestions?

Anything that is 100% silicone works fine, no other additives or chemicals. What’s a Leicester?

For a clear top, you get get a small piece of acrylic from homedepot and cut it to size. Even drill in a hole for feeding and maintenance.

Leicester was meant to say stuff... I'm not sure what happened there. But I meant I just had some stuff that I needed to deal to make sure it was safe for the tank.

Thank you so so so much!!!

Oh, well yeah. I think some pet stores carry sealant specifically for aquariums. When you’re done sealing it, fill it up outside to make sure it doesn’t leak.

Also while I'm on, I painted some popsicle sticks for my project is there something I should use to deal it or like protect the paint from leaking into the water?

What kind of project? Is it for your aquarium? I wouldn’t use any paint inside the aquarium, it can leech into the water. I don’t think they make something to prevent that.

It's for the aquarium, it's just a minI wooden door that I had cleaned up. I thought there was like a clear spray seal thing but maybe I was mistaken. Thank you

There is a clear spray cover to protect painted items from weathering but it isn’t aquarium safe. But I wouldn’t put something that was painted in my tank.

Yeah I won't put it in I'll just make a new thing with no paint! Thanks again
