Swordtail with internal parasites - prazipro?

5.5 gallon planted tank with 1 male rainbow platy and 1 female swordtail. Tank is about 2-3 months old. have had platy 2-3 months and the swordtail about 2 weeks. I feed them flakes. The swordtail is rail thin with long, stringy white poo, and has developed fuzzy white patches on her sides. treated tank with prazipro about a week ago, did a w/c and replaced carbon a couple of days ago. Removed carbon and repeated treatment today. The swordtail is looking worse, even thinner etc. I have mixed some treated tank water with a tiny bit extra prazipro and am soaking some flakes in it to try to feed her. Any advice? Anyone have experience treating flakes with prazipro?

You need to get a bigger tank for both of them...

Yes. You mix the medicine in a plastic bag with a binding agent and a liquid garlic enticer. Then leave the flakes to dry. I like using pellets because it's easier for me.

I have the dosage lists somewhere but I don't remember where. Hopefully someone else knows it.

Edit: nvm. I got my medicines mixed up. I was thinking of biofuran.

Thanks, at any rate. Both fish are readily accepting the treated flakes and my girl looks a little better today. Her sides aren't as sunken and she isn't clamping her fins, etc. She is hiding in the plants most of the time, though. I did put in some rid ich plus tonight, hoping the malachite green and formaldehyde in it will take care of whatever is causing the white fluff on her sides. Weird, though, since the rid ich plus treatment hasn't really discolored my water like I was expecting.

They are to active and get too big for that tank. If you can't move them to a larger tank I would rehome them.
