Sword Tail Question

I brought two sword tails ( a female and a male ) from a fish store, the female dyed shortly after I put her in the tank. The male sword tail is now alone, he usually hangs out with a female guppy who's male died.
Is the sword tail ok on his own or should I get another one?

 

How did you acclimate the fish? What size is your tank?
What are your water parameters? Is your tank cycled?

I think a single swordtail will be fine on his own, but you can always get more fish.

 

The male will be fine on his own.

Just don't allow him to jump out (they are jumpers).

I clambered them by leaving the fish floating for about 10 minutes and then I added a bit of water to the bag every 10 minutes.

I have a 15 gallon tank.

The water perimeters are: 7 ph, nitrates 2 , nitrite 0, and Ammonia 0.
No the tank was not cycled and that was a big mistake I made.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
You floated for ten and added water right before you added them.
Fish need to be acclimated for at least 30 minutes and add a bit of water every five minutes.
