Sword tail fry

About how long until you can sex the fry? My first batch is getting big, and have been fully colored for about a month or so, I'd guess they are two or three months old or so.
Also does anyone know if the water temperature of the tank they are born in determines the sex of the fish? I know that's the case in some animals but not all.

Temperature does not influence sex on Poeciliid livebearers so far as I know. At mid-70s, males can start to show at 4-5 months, and I've seen females dropping fry as early as 6 months, so I would say some of them start maturing about the same age. However, cooler temps might delay this a bit, and late developers can show up as much as a year of age. (These are the better males, as they are larger and more sexually aggressive).
