Looks like you have very happy swords!!!

Typically once the roots begin to form you can cut the baby plants off and root them in the substrate.

Here's a great article to help explain:

Thank you It's a very nice detailed explanation thread but I still don't know what to do with my baby amazon swords that are growing on my runners. I have 7 baby swords on one plant and 6 on the other atm and they all have roots and I already put a few into the gravel last week and I can't put anymore into the gravel because they will grow and I have no room for them, so what to do? Do I leave the baby swords on the runner or do I take them out and dispose of them? If I leave them in there wouldn't they suck all the life out of the plant and weaken the plant as they grow bigger? Also, what are the those plants called on pic 4 on the left side of the tank?

Once rooted you can cut them off the runners. As for all the baby plants, you can sell or trade them. You need 50 posts to sell them on this forum though.

Not my pictures or article, but it looks like it is a Java Fern.

I thought they were java ferns too but couldnt see real well from my phone. I've had a chainsword for over a month now that has the little ones growing out, I like the way it looks so haven't cut it. So far plant seems ok.

Yup I would cut the runner at the main plant and then trip off for each baby once they have roots.

After that, propagate and trade/sell. Craiglist, your local store, or here (once you have 50 posts which doesn't take too long really).

Thank you for the suggestion. I ended up cleaning my tank today and took some babies out and had to dispose of them as I already have about 5 in the gravel. I won't make it to 50 posts anyway to be able to sell anything here because it seems that the moderators don't like the way I make sentences and use punctuation and I am being harassed by them in a different post. I don't need drama. I am going to take my postings to another forum and I just want to thank everyone that answered to this post.

I'm sorry you feel this way. Trying to read a block of text with no punctuation that just runs all together is difficult to read. I bypass those posts myself. The Mods by no means are not harassing you. They just want members to help you.

You are making the drama here yourself by announcing it.

Best of luck.
