HI all, I have a 10 gallon community betta tank, I have a few guppies and neon tetras along side my crown tail betta. I have silk aquarium plants in right now, but I am looking into getting live plants. I’ve never had live plants before and I’m just wondering what is the best plants that are easy to take care of?

What substrate do you have?
I would say Amazon Swords, Java Fern and Anubias are bullet proof plants for the most part. At least in my experience. Java Fern and Anubias can't be planted in the substrate, so it is not important. Amazon Swords do. I have sand, and I use root tabs and my swords are doing great. Easy plants.

Just do amazon swords. By far the EASIEST plant to take care of! Plus betta’s love them. All 3 of mine swim through them and sometime lay on the leaves. Just put a root tab next to/near them every month or two. they get planted but not to far down

I have gravel as my substrate, living in rural Minnesota I don’t have access to much. I’m making a trip to a bigger town a few hours a way from my on Friday that has a petco and petsmart which I am most definitely going to

What type of substrate is best for them? And would I be able to get this at petco or petsmart?

They even have a red version. Well mine isn't really red red, but it's still not green like my other Amazon sword haha.

Either will work sand or gravel. I’ve had better luck with sand. Both petco and PetSmart should have them!
