I'm not sure where to post this (Mods feel free to move me:)). A friend of mine wants to switch her tank from a LIVE rock setup to a freshwater setup. Is there anything special she should do to make sure the tank is freshwater friendly (other than removing the rock and thoroughly rinsing out the tank)? It was running for about 15 years and the tank is about 100ish gallons.

No, just a good scrub with a new sponge or rag that has never been used with soap and you should be good!

Thanks! Saltwater isn't exactly my shtick and I didn't want to assume that rinsing/scrubbing was all that was required and have some poor fishies suffer.

Because it is glass or acrylic, the salt cannot soak into the tank. But I would not use any rocks or driftwood that has been used in the tank unless boiled and scrubbed.
