Cool! I myself am trying to soften the water in a tank (albeit one with no livestock or plants, so I don't have to go nearly as slowly). I don't think I can give you any advice other than what you are already doing...take it slowly. Changes in KH are going to be more stressful than any of the other changes the shrimp are going through, so be particularly careful there.

Ok so we had a CRAZY day yesterday. It as the Petco 1 per gal sale so the tangerine tigers, emeralds and blue velvet all got upgraded to 20gal long from 10gal.

I have twin 9yr olds and doing 3 tanks and trying not to kill shrimp was organized chaos. Here are numbers this morning.

29gal cherry
No update

20gal tangerine tiger
Ph 7.4
TDs 184
Gh 5
Kh 2

20 gal emerald jades
Ph 7.5
TDs 263
Gh6
Kh2

20 gal blue velvet
Ph 7.3
TDs 333
Gh 8
Kh 3

Cool! I have a random question...does TDS matter much to Neocaridina shrimps? (I understand that is is fairly important for bee shrimp and their kin)

Neocaridina are way more forgiving than caridina for sure. But yes it does

Forgot to post last week so here is the 17th.

Out and in refers to gallons

And reds, blues breeding amazing. And saw first buried tangerine tiger today. Eventhough a little high of perameters for caradina.

Greens are new I only have 5
