Hello, so I am absolutely wounded about my beautiful angel fish, had him for around 5\6 years now.
He has his tank all to himself at the moment as the tetras that were keeping him company sadly died a few months ago.
So today I put his bubbles on as normal as I turn them off when I go to bed, anyway I have a look in the tank to see my beautiful silver angelfish half dead is the only way I can explain. He was behind the filter on the glass not moving at all. I managed to push him out into the middle of the tank, when I did this he was floating everywhere. I looked close and his fins were moving still also he was breathing.
So I Google it and what came up looked exactly like what was happening, it came up saying swim bladder disease. So I changed his water, added tap safe and some salt, he was swimming around but bent? He also has a lump, like his belly os fatter...
I don't know what to do, I don't want to kill him off before giving him a fair shot at his life. Can somebody tell me if it actually is this disease or is he dying?
