Surfing cory

One of my green [albino] corys will go to the surface and with his back out of the water race back and forth from one end to the other and he seems to enjoy it, today I noticed one of the smaller ones swimming with him and every now and then break the surface and do it to, has anybody seen this before?
Another question I have is can a green cory be half albino and half reg., I have one of them that's looks like a reg. green from the head to about it's dorsal fin then the other half is almost white like albino.

Corys will glass surf in a new environment but I've never seen or heard of them half out of the water doing it. They always stay submerged. How long have you had them and how many do you have?

Can you attach a photo of the one with the mix of colors? I've never seen one like that but I guess it's possible since there are albino and green color morphs of the same species.

Right now I have 3 of them in my 20L with a pair of kribs, I had six at one time but moved 3 to the 40L and will move these to the 40 soon. They have been in for about 2 weeks now, they glass surf also but he/she is the only one to do it so far other than the smaller one who seems to be starting to do it also, when it first started I thought maybe ammonia build up so did about 75% wc and tested but was 0 did the wc anyways, he still did it. don't know how to do pictures, I have one of those new cameras that use the disk but to be honest I can barely use it, I'm a old fart and technology challenged, I still don't know how to do e-mail, I'll try to post a picture.

I had six in the tank but know that my kribs have pair up I'm moving the last three into the 40L, I have six total and five peppered already in the other tank. The albino was doing this with five other ones in the tank.

I'd guess that they are just settling in if they are new. Maybe they are still doing it because they've been split up. Once you move the 3 to the 40, they still might do it because they've been moved to a new tank but they should settle down.

Anxious to see a pic.
There are no half albinos and as far I know there are no partly leucistic Corys as well. But you never know. Coukd be an health-issue as wel.

I'll try to find the instructions to the camera today, but I can't grantee I'll be able to post, I went to the link el336 provided but I must admit it's all foreign to me, the cory is young only about 3/4" is it possible it might have been stressed, when I say half with color it's not like there is a line of half grn. and wht. the grn. fades into no grn. at all. Will be doing water change in both tanks today and moving the remaining 3 corys to the 40, I know fish can loose there color when stressed. It will be interesting to see if the albino still surfs in the bigger tank, when he does it he actually leaves a wake behind him, he does this as fast as he can swim. Thank for the replys.

I agree with DoubleDutch, it most likely has some health issues, please add pics we may be able to help save him, if not him then the rest of them before it's too late

Now I'm wondering if I should pull them out or not, I don't want to increases the group back to 6 if he might be sick none of other two of him for that matter look or act sick in any way, all of them look picture perfect. What should I look for if there perfect looking and acting, if anything I just thought it might be a pigmentation issue, if it is sick the other problem is there in with my breeding pair of kribs.

It will be hard to say what could be wrong or what the pigmentation might mean without a photo.

Do you have a smartphone or tablet where you can download the FishLore app and try to upload the photo that way?

I sorry guys/girls I'm old and don't know what a tablet is I've herd of smartphones but never seen one, I can barley use the computer, to give you a idea on my techno skills I still use paper and pencil. Sorry, but thank you for the help. The kribs mean more to me than the corys do, I'm doing a water change today, after reading all the posts of they might be sick I think I'll just pull them and dispose them to be on the safe side. Again thank you for the advice.

Isn't it just the one cory that is showing erratic behavior with the strange coloring? I hope you won't euthanize them unnecessarily. If you don't want the corys, I would donate them to an LFS.

I do like the corys that's why I have them, none and I mean none of them are acting erratic, like I said all of them are and looking and acting picture perfect. No sores, spots, fungus or anything, they eat well swim well and appear to be having fun in the tank, I was just going by the posts here:

I agree with @, it most likely has some health issues,
Coukd be an health-issue as wel.
If you don't want the corys, I would donate them to an LFS.

If they are sick I would never donate them to anybody else and possibly contaminate an entire tank of fish. When I did a water change I discovered my kribs had laid eggs in a plastic stump, I hope I did not mess up and they abandon the eggs.

Ok, I was just going by your previous post when you said your kribs mean more to you than the corys and that you were going to "pull them and dispose of them" which is why I assumed you meant all your corys.

I did mean the 3 that are in the krib tank, but to be honest I don't think there sick just because one of them may have a pigmentation issue and the other one that runs on the surface every now and then, he dose not look or act sick in any way I would like to think he dose it just for fun at least I hope so. The krib's do mean more to me than the 3 corys in the breeding tank, don't get me wrong I don't want to lose any fish.
