Sunsun good canister?

I'm looking at a sunsun canister filter for my 10 gallon tank.
Are these quiet and effecient?
How many GPH does this one do?
Should I be looking at a canister?
Anyone else have this one?

that actually isn't a standalone canister and doesn't even appear to have a pump. It is something you would use in addition to another canister filter for extra filtration. It pretty much just piggy backs on an already existing pump in order to give more surface area for filtration.

Ah those fools tried to rob me!
Lol my mistake.
You have another suggestion for me?
Id like a quiet canister because it will be in the livingroom by the tv.

A HOB or sponge filter would work. One of these would work too. I've never had one, but I hear good things about them.

The only other one I can think of would be an Eheim Classic 2211 but thar a going to be expensive. As Marie said, a spongefilter would work. I have a ten gallon tank with a sponge filter in the room I sleep in and I'm fine. The big thing is finding a quiet pump. I use a terra whisper. Not the most powerful but very quiet.

I don't want a hob.
I don't like to look of them.
Also I have a crayfish so I'm pretty sure he will tear up the sponge filter lol.
So I either need a internal filter that's quiet or a canister that's quiet
Marie1, I like that canister. Thanks.

Also open to any other suggestions.

I figured out it actually is a canister filter

You can but you need your own pump according to the original amazon link you posted

This Modular Canister Filter can be added into your existing canister filter to provide additional filtration capacity. When added in front of the main filter, it can be used as a mechanical and chemical filter to reduce the trouble of cleaning the main filter and also make the main filter's biological filter media last longer. When added after the main filter, it will provide additional biological filtration capacity. This Modular Canister Filter can be used with SUNSUN/GRECH HW-302, HW-303/B, HW-303/B, HW-402/B, HW-403/B, HW-504/505, HW-602B/603B; or any canister filter with hose I.D. of 1/2 or 5/8 inch. Multiple Modular Canister Filters can be connected together to provide your desired combination of filtration capability. This Modular Canister Filter can be used by itself. You can connect your pump and hose to it to build your own canister filter. Flow control valve on each inlet/outlet to let you decide best flow rate. Also can be shut off completely during cleaning and maintenance. A set of sponges of different pore size: coarse, medium and fine, are provided to catch the smallest particles while maintaining higher water flow rate. Or you can add your own choice of media to gain additional chemical and biological filtration. Water pump and hose are not included.

Heres the one I meant to post.

Oh!!! That makes a huge difference. Haha. Only thing is that you need to find a way to slow it down. 106 gph is a lot for a 10 gallon.

What do you think about the one that Marie1 posted above?
I think that one looks good.

I remember seeing it recommended before but I personally have no experience with it. Looks to be a solid unit and for that price I don't see how you can go wrong.

Agreed.
I looked up a couple of vids on youtube snd everyone says it makes no noise.
Unless output tube is above water.

You can drill out the holes on the spray bar to make them bigger and slow the flow down if needed.

....am I the only one with a 150gph filter on a ten gallon tank?

Awkward... lol.

I never knew they had smaller canister filters. If I got one it would be a sun sun I hear a lot good about them.

Canister or HOB?? For canister filters all you need is 5x the volume of the tank. I didn't like having a HOB with 120 GPH. It was way too much flow for my ten gallon. Swapped it out for a sponge filter.

Yeah canisters don't need high gph. But on my tank I have a top fin 40 filter. Its 150gph hob. I thought 15x turnover rate was just max back when I got it... Well when I get a 15 tall and a few more fish in that tank at least I won't have to worry about the filter. That tank has a clown pleco and a flower filter feeding shrimp which loves fast water to filter

Yes its very cheap.
So even if I don't like it, it won't be a big deal.
Could always go back to my original method, with the aqueon internal filter.
Aqueon model AT40

Internals filters are very invasive imo
