Sunsun 304b quick review!!

Hey everbody thought I would do a quick write up of the sunsun 304b. The canister itself seems well built their is little to no bypass between the four trays that are huge. The inlet and outlet spray bar are in my opion a complete joke of engineering. They are made very thin and don't fit together tight. Iam glad I bought two spare impellers because the one in the canister was chipped really badly and sure would have grenaded in no time. I do need to remember that it is a cheap canister and for what you get it's not to bad. I checked the flow and it's 300 gph which I thought was a little low. That is with about 1,800mg of fluval bio-media and six filter pads. Iam trying to seed the filter on my 29 gallon so in about a month I can buy a 50 or 75 gallon tank. Would this filter be enough for a 50 or a 75? If I take out a filter pad or two it might raise the gph?

I just got one of these filters in with a deal on a 125 gallon. I don't really need it and its brand new. I was going to go ahead and set it up but maybe not now. maybe ill just sell it, you make it sound less than desirable.

yes I would think less media would create more water flow. I'm not sure this is necessarily better though, I think the filter would be less effective, but not sure.

The bad impeller could of been a fluke, but take your out and check it, their were chunks missing on the bottom of the magnet. I do have to say its very quite. I may buy another still debating.
