Sunset pics

I have a fascination for cloud formations, sunsets etc. We went to CherokeeNC the weekend before my surgery and thought I would share some sunset pics. They are all within a 30-45 minute time span.
There is an old movie called the 13th warrior starring Antonio Banderras(I hope I spelled that right ) Its kind of a viking movie. anyway in the movie villages keep being attacked by what they called a huge creature but before this creature appeared a fog would arise in the pass. that's what my pictures make me think of LOL

 

These are amazing pictures Carol Thank you for posting them. I also love to watch the sky and the clouds. I particularly love the night sky when watched in a very dark area away from city lights, or any lights whatsoever. When the sky is clear, you can actually see the Milky Way I am very fascinated with astronomy and would like to get a good telescope one day in order to be able to see the surface of the moon up close, as well as the nearby planets if such telescope's prices are not sky-high, lol. I am not good with electronics and mechanics and know nothing of the prices of the telescopes as well as what kinds are available for sale, but I suppose the better the resolution, the more expensive the telescope. Nevertheless, it's a wonderful thing to have.

I took these a few weeks ago. The sky and clouds went really pink, and a few hours later the sky was a yellowish colour. Pity I didn't get a picture of the yellow sky. :-\

WOW!! those are very nice!! Whats the dark spot in the bottom picture. It looks like the cloud is a space ship and a beam coming from it LOL (I know I have an over active imagination )

LOL! ;D I took the pictures from my bedroom window, and I couldn't take the picture without my neighbours roof in the picture. There are some trees at the bottom too. If what your wondering about is what's in the middle, it's the TV airal coming out of my neighbours roof. I know what you meen though. Now that I look at it, it does look like the cloud is a space ship and that it has a beam coming from it. ;D

I quite like this photo I took. I took it while on holiday last week. It's the moon in the sky and it's reflection in the sea. The moon is quite small, the first time I looked at it I wondered where it was, then I found it - A little white dot in the black sky. You can just see the reflection too. I love pictures of reflections in water.
