Sitting on my porch in December in San Diego with peach tree on right, palm in middle and fig on left. And a cup of coffee in my hand. Great start to another day.

Sunrise picture that I took a few days ago. Since I work second shift, I don’t always manage to wake up early enough!

First photo is sunset on the Bonneville Salt Flats. The second is sunrise near Moab, Utah. The last two are two different sunrises taken from my apartment window in Colorado.

Isn't Bonneville where they broke the speed of sound in a ground vehicle?

Yeah it's on the west end of Utah. Anyone can drive out on to it and drive as fast as you dare. I hit 140 mph when I was out there. Another photo I took there in the middle of the day.... Really unique place.

My favorite sunrises are when one direction you have the sunrise and the other direction you have the moon.

We’ve had some really nice ones recently, but I never seem to get pictures of them. These are the best ones I could find, although they’re nothing compared to our best sunsets/rises.

What a cool thread! Arizona may be miserably hot, but it definitely makes up for it in stunning sunsets.

Beautiful picture! Are you also able to see thousands of stars at night where you're at? There are way too many bright lights where I live, so that doesn't happen.

Pretty much 0 stars. I’m pretty close to the city so, sadly the lights bock out most lunar things

This was the view from cruise ship Norwegian Crown as we sailed from Montevideo to Buenos Aires, sunset on December 31st, 2005

My first lone cruise, decided on a big one to begin with. Just under three weeks long from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires via Ushuaia and Cape Horn. It was awesome and caused me to book many cruises after that one.

Seeing the old year out on a ship though is very special

Finally got one this morning! The little bump that stands up towards the left end is a grain elevator about 5-6 miles away.

No sun in sight but cool clouds at sunset after a day of showers and a few storms.
