20 Gallon Tank Suitable bottom dwellers for fluorite gravel

Hi,
I have a tank currently cycling that has a lot of plants in it and thus I went and bought eco complete substrate which I believe is a flourite gravel. I really want some type of bottom dwellers in my 20 long, honestly I was thinking of a clown pleco and... 6 kuhli loaches. However as I'm reading online almost every bottom dwellers is recommended for sand as a substrate. Is there any species that I can keep with this type of substrate? Thanks for the advice! Currently the other fish in thinking of putting in the tank include: CPDs, cherry shrimp, and probably a betta as a centerpiece.

So you had a section with sand and that worked for them? Or what do you mean by sand and flourite?

Kuhli loaches do fine in gravel, as long as you have rocks or decor they can hide under.

Plecos do perfectly fine with gravel if you give them some sort of driftwood or rocks to latch onto. Alternatively they may just latch onto the side of the tank.

I put the sand on top of the fluorite just a 1/2 layer
