;Dive had BP myself for about 4 years and never had any problems when feeding them , bloodworms or brimeshrimp or a high quality pellet or flakes . they can grow up to 12" ( I think ) and are a great addition !

I would go with a pair of Fire mouths or geophagus or angel fish. I like to keep cichlids in pairs because they have great mating behavior. you will love to watch them

A 12" deep 60gal tank? Can you give us the exact dimensions of the tank? It sounds like it is a rather odd size & that may well influence wht fish people recommend for you.

A Jack Dempsey would be about as big as I would go in a tank that's only 12" front to back. A pair of Firemouths or Keyholes would work well. As would a colony of Geophagus Steindachneri. You could put Rainbows or Congo Tetras along with a Pleco or some Pictus Cats with any of those fish. A Convict species tank would be another option.

I think I might go with 2 parrot fish and 6 giant danios is that a good idea?
-Do parrot fish fight amongst themselves?
-Will the danio be good tank mates for parrots?

I believe the BR parrot is very docile being that their mouth is deformed due to its a hybrid and they can't bite other fish.(Thanks for the info Ken! lol)
