Well since my java moss died I was looking to get a plant that might end up thriving better in a heated tank than my moss did. I currently have a single anubias nana in my 5.5 gallon tank where I house 2 female bettas (divided from each other of course) The temperature is set to 78 degrees and the substrate is gravel. I also have a flourescent bulb that stays on for about 8-10 hrs a day.
What are some suggestions that you might think would work?

How about some java fern? It will reproduce and give you more plants than you started with .

Lighting would be the concern as far as which plants you can grow. Java Moss is fine in a heated tank.

I keep my java at 80 degrees and have had it up to 84 for a month. The Java does great. Java fern or anubias would be nice though.
