Hi, I am going to set up a newly acquired dennerle 30 litre nano cube and I am looking for suggestions for planting and stocking it.
I have been considering a single male betta, red cherry shrimp and possibly one or two small nano fish.
I have media I can take from my established tank to kick start the cycle and I intend to fit a small arcadia stretch lighting unit so plant growth should not be a problem.
What kind of nutrient absorbing plants can I put in a nano cube? Preferably something that won't grow too tall or fast.
And what is a good choice for a carpeting plant?
Also, can anyone suggest a betta friendly, gentle flow filter that I can put my own mature ceramic bio media in please?

Good morning,

:;ghostI have moved your thread from Freshwater Beginners to Aquarium Stocking Questions section of the forum.

This post will also bump your thread.

Thanks!

Nice plan for the tank no expert on plants so I won't say anything about that

As for stock... Ive heard bettas eat shrimp? Maybe not such a good idea? What about snails?

As for filter, have a look at the marina i25. Not sure on the tank sizing of it but the flow is gentle I use it in my fry tank
