Suddenly very anti social?

So my cray has always been pretty active, running around his tank, reminding us whose house we live in etc.

We did just recently redo his tank a bit, put in a much bigger cave for him to go hide in, but he's been extremely shy lately, we figured he was about to molt because he hasn't really been eating either.

Yesterday I pulled up his cave just to see if he was alive (which he was), after which he suddenly became super active, moving all sorts of items around, making little hills and valleys out of his rocks.

Last night we threw in some minnows, one of which is already missing, and I saw him running around a little bit late last night after we turned off his light.

This normal?

Yes this is completely normal. When they molt they hide and don't eat. Now did you get feeder minnows?

Yeah, he got another one today, he's hiding in his other spot today which is good. We usually get him neon tetras which are smaller than the minnows, he does well with those.

This seems pretty normal for him, I just would have expected him to have molted about 7-10 days ago going off his normal patterns.

So your saying that your crayfish only get live fish? Also do you feed him anything else?
