Ok guys, here's the rundown. I decided to go with Play Sand as my substrate for my freshwater aquarium as I've read numerous good things about it here on the site. Well I started adding my water and it looks like this!

Now it said the sand was pre-washed so me being the bum I am apparently didn't rinse it through again to remove what is obviously now in my water. Shall I start removing this water as my cleaning water and put new water in or will this water eventually settle?

Could you not suck the water in there out and replace it a few times, that what did with one of my tanks that did something similar, then i left it over night.

That is what I was wondering if I should do, I'll definitely start doing it now though.

You would most likely damage the filter impellor if you make it do the grunt of the work. I'd say do several 100% water changes and then you could turn the filter on the finish the job.
