I have had my 55 gallon tank for probably 7 years now. I am trying to figure out why my die. I do a water change about once a month. we ended up having one Molly and my 2 Plecos left so I figured we should get some more fish. I decided to get 2 more Mollies female for my male and 3 Guppies, 2 female and 1 male. First time with Guppies, only have had Mollies. I have had them for a week and 2 of my Guppies have already died. I checked my parameters, and the only thing that is just a little high is the PH levels. Everything else looks ok. I am stumped as to why this is happening. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I guess to begin give us the parameters of the tank, and if you've done any major cleaning or rearrangement recently.
Did the Guppies appear to have anything wrong with them physically?
How did you acclimate the new fish?

I would also say you need to start doing weekly water changes. Once a month is not nearly enough. The longest I ever wait it 2 weeks and I have high nitrates. This will really help with parameters, but it’s also just good for fish health overall.
