Stripe on Honey Gourami

HI I have a 20H. Stocked with 4 male guppies and 1 (not sure if male or female) gourami. The stripe is very dark. Is this due to stress? I have hears rumors. Thanks

Males are typically orange or yellow-y, with a bit of blue in, at least, the dorsal fin.
