String Hanging From Betta

My betta has had a small string hanging from what I assume is his anus. I know that poop hanging can be normal, but this just looks like a small dark brown/Black string hanging from him, and he hasn’t passed it for over a week. I tried fasting and the pea method to no avail. I’ll add a picture as well.

Hmmm I'm not seeing anything unusual. Can you try from a different angle, perhaps with some back lighting to show it a bit better?

I’ll try to attatch these pictures here.. it’s hard to get a decent one, since it’s underneath him.

Well, I really can't see much wrong with him. Is the spot right between his two pelvic (belly) fins? Is it possible it is just part of one of the fins? Other than that the only thing that comes to mind is camallanus worms, but those are usually red threads/spikes sticking out of the anus.

It is right inbetween his belly fins, it could be possible that it’s just one of his fins but it just seems like it’s jutting out when those fins are flattened while he’s swimming.

If its been there for longer then a few days I would treat him for internal parasites and worms.
