Stress ich?

Quick info: I have beaten ich twice, each more severe than the last. Recently beaten ich 3 weeks ago. Ammonia:0 nitrate: barely Detectable nitrite: barely detectable. After I have beaten my smaller pictus started to become the alpha and would chase my bigger pictus (before ich it was the other way around), fast forward a week or so the bigger pictus is alpha again and chases the smaller one whenever he gets into his territory. Recently I found on the smaller pictus 3 white spots, 1 on the fin and 2 on the body. No other fish have it, not even the bigger pictus. If I were to say where it came from besides stress was introduction of new plants last weekend but I doubt that because 1) I have gotten a lot of fish from this Petco and I hav never had issues with their fish before, 2) only a couple of fish in the tank and none of them were sick, 3) no other fish have it. should I put in a cave of some sort for the smaller pictus?

Raise the temp up to 86 - 87 degrees & leave it there for 10 days. That should take care of the problem.
To dilute aggression add a few more Pictus if space allows.

I’m aware of the temp treatment and have used it before but I honestly think its a case of stress and i think its too early to be jumping to any treatments, I will do heat method if it does indeed spread but no other fish have it, I dont have enough room for another pictus. The other pictus does not have it and the thing is the bigger one is much more susceptible to it because he has been through two harsh cases of ich and he dosent even have a spot on him. What I plan on doing is placing a decent sized PVC pipe to make a cave of some sort. The smaller pictus eats very well along with the bigger one. I do have ICH-X on hand and I can borrow a spare heater from my marine biology teacher (has let me borrowed it before). I will continue to update you.

A201 When I got home from school two spots fell off the smaller pictus, I dosed ich-x just to be safe. No other fish have it. Next morning the last spot fell off but no other fish had it. I will do my one every 2 weeks 30%water change today. I will dose ich-x again.

Be a good idea to do a weekly 30% WC rather than biweekly WC's.

That’s what I was thinking. I may actually transfer to weekly.

It’s safe to say that ich is gone gone. The smaller pictus did get 3 white spots 2 weeks ago but I dosed ich-x twice along with a water change and it disappeared and didn’t spread. This morning I though I saw spots on my red eye tetra but turns out I was overreacting. Upon further investigation it was just white coloring and I was groggy. I think I developed ptsd for this parasite. Anyways thanks for the help.
