    Hi all,
I noticed today that my 3g Betta tank has white hair like stuff all over the place (tank sides, plants, etc.) excluding my little girl. The filter was clogged with a bunch if slime. What is this stuff? I did a water change only 3 days ago. My Betta doesn't seem bothered but I would like to know what is going on.
    Regards,

    Can you post a pic?
It's probably white hair algae. I think Ken (Aquarist) another thread that it'll run it's course and is common in newly cycled tank.
I don't know from personal experience.

Hello Son. Lucy is correct on it probably being White Hair Algae. You can simply remove it from plants and ornaments with your fingers. You can vacuum the substrate. Don't be surprised if it returns until it has run its course. It's not harmful and some fish may even eat it. Very common in new tanks up to 1 year.

As Lucy and Ken mentioned, it most likely is white hair algae.

Also, it could be your water conditioner. I've noticed that Stress Coat can leave a white film on plants, decor, etc.
