Storage container recommendation

Within the coming week I will be tearing down my 120 gallon to reseal it, so I will need to store my fish. I've used a sterilite container before but the walls bowed a lot, and the one I have is only ~20 gallons so I will be buying a different container for the job.

Has anyone used this specific one? Did the ribbing on the sides prevent bowing or will I still need to add supports somehow?

I’ve heard of people getting the heavy duty Rubbermaid totes from tractor supply... may wanna look into them to hold the fish.

The one I linked above is "heavy duty" also. Are these less prone to bowing?

Is there a benefit of Rubbermaid vs huskey?

I haven’t used any totes but I’ve seen a couple threads on here with people using the 150 gallon Rubbermaid totes and never heard any issues wit them ... was just suggestions not personal experience
Edit: you could always get the Depot tote bring it home fill it with water and see if it keeps its form or bows too much

If you can't find one that won't bow, bracing is easy to make. I use wire coat hangers for the sterlite storage tote I use for my grow out tank. It is pretty heavy wire so works well. I cut 2 pieces long enough to span the top with enough length to be able to bend the ends to go under the lip on each side. This wire is going to rust so needs to either be painted or do like I did and just cover it with clear packing tape.

The heavy duty ones will bow less but will likely still bulge. As Mattgirl said you can make a brace if you're nervous about it.

I kept a fish in a 7gal sterilite bin for a couple months, it bowed but never enough to scare me. The lid was still able to fit on securely. I think you should be ok with the bin linked.

I use belts to support mine. LOL I just buckle them together to reach around (they are leather, not the thin kind). I'm sure a ratchet strap hooked to itself would work, or anything similar. Just something that can hold the pressure. Really easy to do, especially if you're only wanting it to hold long enough to reseal a tank.

I put a rarchet strap around mine with 3/4 plywood pieces against tote under the straps = no bow.

Use a brute trash can or get the rigid sides rubber made totes for agricultural use. All other totes/containers will bow. None of these are made to store water.
