    Welcome to fishlore!

Cories need to be in groups of at least 5, imo :)

Cories like to be in schools of at least 6. I've never had barbs, but I know they are fairly aggressive and I think they would like more than 20 gallons. If your two RCS are of different genders, then you will have WAY more than two in no time. ;) Just my two cents!

    How about
    1 Dwarf Gourami
6 Neon Tetras instead of Cherry Barbs
    6 Corys
    2 Male Cherry Shrimp

The cherries or the neons really don't make much difference as far as I have seen the cherry barbs are not that aggressive.

As for the cories, that is a lot better.

And to the shrimp, they will breed like rabbits but to a point will only breed to the limits of the environment as far as I understand it. Sexing RCS is difficult to begin with lol but trying to ensure you get two males good luck.

The tank sounds like it will look great.

i dont think it would matter if the shrimp were breeding. the gouramis would probably eat babys but leave adults alone. otherwise it sound very nice. what type of plants are you thinking of?
