I have a 240L planted tank and in my tank, there are already 5 Discus and 3 Sterbai Cory (they used to be 5) and I am planning to add more fish soon. I was thinking of having neon fish because I like that they are colorful, but my LFS told me it’s a bad idea because the discus will eat them. I know not a lot of fish can survive the hot temperature (28 – 29 ℃) and this is the list of fish I am interested:
    - 5 Sterbai Cory (I read they are best in group)
    - 2 types of Tetra fish (I was thinking of 6 Bleeding Heart Tetra and 6 Rosy Tetra)
    - 2-3 catfish: can’t decide which one a Farlowella catfish or an Ancistrus catfish
    - 2 Dwarf Cichlid: German Blue Ram or Electric Blue Ram

Can they all go together or is too much for the aquarium (LFS told me I can add 20 more) or some fish are not capable with each other and any suggestions for colorful tankmates would be appreciated:).

This is how my tank looks like (I don’t know if I need to add more plants for the small fish to hide):

    Hi there,
Personally, I think you should just get the GBRs, I find them better looking and far more interesting than the Electric Blues.

As for the schooling fish, Rummy nose tetras, Lemon tetras, Cardinal Tetras, Rasboras, Glow Light Tetras could also work.
I would consider upping the schooling fish number to at least 8-12.

You could do Bristlenose Plecos/ Ancristus Catfish they should do fine with the Discus.

If you add 3-5 more Sterbai Cories they should be happy and shoaling.

Your stocking should look something like this:
    60 gallon tank
    5x Discus
    6-8x Sterbai Corydoras
8-12 Schooling fish (please decide on what you prefer)
    2x Clown Pleco
    2x German Blue Ram

@Ed204 , BN Pecos need cooler water than the sterbai and ram. A clown pleco would work temp compatibly with this stock.

Hmm... I'm not sure my LFS has a Clown Pleco,
Ok thanks!:) but I don't think my LFS has a clown pleco.

Alright, Zebra Plecos could work as well IMO.

    OK, so it is 48 x 15?
You could do the stocking Ed suggested, but I would up the schools he suggested to 12 each.
