Stocking Ideas

    Hi,
I am currently cycling a 12.5 gallon aquarium. I have an AquaClear 20, with lights, heater, air pump ect. It is fairly heavily planted. Originally i was thinking of going with cherry barbs, but today i thought the bloodfin tetra's looked really cool.

So here's my plan once my thank has finished cycling.

7 Bloodfin Tetra's (will add 3 first then 4 later)
3 Red Wag Platies (2 Female 1 Male, i think fry would be cool, and will add later)

Then maybe either 1 Dwarf Gourami, or another similar fish.

    I would like your thoughts.

    Thanks,

also i was think of freeze dried brine shrimp and flake food with the occasinal vegetable, would that be fine for food.

Stocking plan sounds pretty good. I would just be wary of ending up with too many Platies if the other fish don't eat the fry. Could be an idea to set up another small tank so that you can take the fry out & raise them for sale or perhaps to keep just male Platies. The food sounds pretty good as well. Platies will eat some of the algae in the tank as well as nibble on the odd lettuce leaf.
