Recently picked up one of these tanks, thinking of doing a freshwater planted tank with it. It's the 50 gallon version and it's sorta odly shaped, not too sure what kind of stocking options I have with it.

    Any ideas?

If you did a planted tank you could get a leopard ctenopoma....maybe an african knife fish and a butterfly fish

Angelfish, Gouramis, Rams, and some smaller chiclids are nice for that size. You could do one of those and a huge bunch of schooling fish. I always like to have a breeding trio of livebearers in all my tanks for fry which are great live food

A betta sorority would be cute in this!!

Not a good idea to do a beta sorority. It takes lots of patience while watching along the process. It also takes commitment.

I don't know if this person is new to fishkeeping, but I would rather tell them. Also it happens! Beta sororities really are hard to maintain.
